C.S. Paolo

1882-1955



A prolific artist for six decades, C.S. Paolo also was a devoted son, father, and brother.

He operated studios in New York; Boston; Summit, N.J.; and Tucson, Ariz.

His works included portraits, paintings, and monuments in Molino, Ill., (right photo) and Louisville, Ky., to soldiers and their military service

His commissions also took him to the Vatican where he completed a portait of Pope Pius XI.

Among his other portraits on display at public buildings and in museums are historical figures Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and Robert E. Lee.
