Weather forecast brings revised plans

Rain forecast results in cancellation of the Hosptality Corner, "Friday Night Live" concert, the storytelling tour, and the reception at The Alley on Main.

Class members, however, can gather at First Presbyterian Church at 210 N. Spring St., beginning at 5 p.m., and receive registration packets, mingle a bit, and then disperse to various local restaurants. A list of restaurants will be available.

The meeting place at the church will be the Common Room, which is on the East College Street side with the entrance under the drive-through canopy.

--10:30-11:30 a.m., "A Celebration of Life: Honoring Our Deceased Classmates," a program led by Susan Smith Cauley and David Dunn (in the auditorium of Central Magnet School) No Charge

Celebrating 50 Years
at The Grove at Williamson Place
5:30-10:00 p.m. $30 per person, except for certain sponsors*

  • 5:30-6:30 p.m., Cocktail hour (cash bar) with music by Gay and Larry Pinkerton
  • 6:30-8 p.m., Buffet dinner (and cash bar) to include your choice of two entrees and four sides, salad, rolls, dessert, and beverage (prepared by Tasty Table)
  • 7:30-10 p.m., Music, dancing, conversations

    Directions to The Grove at Williamson Place:
    The Grove is located at 3250 Wilkinson Pike, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 and is across the parkway from The Avenue Shopping Mall. If coming from I-24:
    1.Take Exit #76 (Manson Pike and Medical Center Parkway)
    2.Follow Medical Center Parkway 4/10ths of a mile.
    3.Turn left on Manson Pike and go 1/10th of a mile.
    4.Turn left onto Wilkinson Place and go about 450 feet to The Grove on your left.
    Or
    1.Take Exit #76 (Manson Pike and Medical Center Parkway)
    2.Follow Medical Center Parkway to stoplight at Greshampark Drive.
    3.Turn left on Greshampark Drive and go to stop sign.
    4.Turn left onto Wilkinson Place and go about 450 feet to The Grove on your right.
    (Use of GPS systems may not provide complete directions to The Grove.)

    Please complete and send in an RSVP form if you are planning to attend ANY of the events because we will need to know how many people to expect at each event.

    *Sponsorships:
    Many of our events are being provided at "No Charge" to the attendees, thanks to generous donations made by many of our classmates through the Reunion Sponsorship program. Each of our Platinum ($1,000), Gold ($500), and Silver ($250) Sponsors is entitled to two complimentary dinner tickets. Each of our Bronze ($125) Sponsors is entitled to one complimentary dinner ticket. Although formal sponsorships closed on Jan. 31, 2019, we will be happy to accept any additional contributions anyone would like to make. After all reunion expenses have been paid, any leftover money will be sent to the David Lasseter/MCHS Class of 1969 Scholarship Fund at Middle Tennessee State University.
